Coevolving Relationships between Political Science and Economics

Guest Editors: Herbert Dawid, Hartmut Kliemt, Elinor Ostrom*

The editors of this special topic of RMM chose the title of Elinor Ostrom's paper which is reprinted here as the lead article. The paper had been discussed at an author's colloquium devoted to the work of Elinor Ostrom at the center for interdisciplinary research (ZiF) of the University of Bielefeld in November 2011. Most of the papers presented at the colloquium are brought together in the special topic of RMM. In the next few months the papers submitted to RMM will be published as they arrive (and as revised after refereeing). We hope that the readers will find them as intriguing as participants of the conference.

The hospitality and help of the ZiF is gratefully acknowledged.

HD, HK, EO

Comments by readers are invited and may be published after an abridged refereeing process.

*Sadly, Elinor Ostrom, who also was a founding member of RMM's advisory board, passed away on June 12, 2012, after having completed the introduction and composition of this special topic.
